Boozhy Headlines: Creative Artists Agency Supports Hate-Speak, Homophobia and Anti-Semitism
Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Hollywood's premier talent and literary agency, have agreed to represent Micahel Savage. Savage is well known as America's leading voice in hate-speak, homophobia, anti-semitism and racism. Savage commonly refers to homosexuality as the "dance of death", has recently told a gay caller on MSNBC to "get AIDS and die" and earlier this week accused Oscar winner Melissa Etheridge of child abuse for raising her children in a committed lesbian household.
How is it that the partners at CAA (one of whom is openly gay) have agreed to support Savage's message of ignorant hatred. By signing Mr. Savage the consummate professionals of CAA agree to dedicate their full arsenal of representation, leverage and credibility to promote Savage's homophobia, bigotry and hatred. Who's next? Prussian Blue?
Doesn't CAA find Savage's representation the least bit antithetical to the thousands of artists they represent who draw Savage's vitriol for no other reason than their nationality, sexuality or color? Or does the almight dollar of Savage's 8 million listeners and the publicity from his potential bid for the 2008 presidency speak louder than the voice of reason?
