Former VP (and Hollywood darling) Al Gore testifies before both the House and Senate today in what is likely to be CSPAN's highest rated two hours, in DECADES. Gore will face cross-examination from Oklahoma bigot Inhofe who was quoted in Boozhy as stating:
"...global-warming is the biggest hoax ever played upon the American people since the separation of Church and State."
It's doubtful that Inhofe (or any of the other haters) will be able to score any points against Gore on the science. But, it will totally be worth it to watch the Congressman make a fool of himself by asking questions such as the following (leaked by Roberts via Drudge):
Mr. Gore: How can you continue to claim that global warming on Earth is primarily caused by mankind when other planets (Mars, Jupiter and Pluto) with no confirmed life forms and certainly no man-made industrial greenhouse gas emissions also show signs of global warming? Wouldn't it make more sense that the sun is responsible for warming since it is the common denominator?
Someone should tell Inhofe that Pluto isn't even a PLANET. It was demoted in much the same way we wish Inhofe would be.
