Boozhy Headlines: We Did

Barack_obama_2
I left my bubble of NYC this week and flew to Missouri. I have canvassed the Red southwest corner of the State this week and worked with amazing and dedicated Americans for a cause. I am blessed on this November 5, 2008.

Boozhy Video: Because It Matters. It Matters So Much.

We CAN change.  We CAN repair this world.  We CAN become citizens of the world who once again promote democracy, social justice and global responsibility.  We CAN once again hope.  Hope for a better world.  Please vote for Barak Obama.  It matters. It matters so much.

Boozhy Video: A Statement Ad

This ad makes a statement more for what it doesn't explicitly state than what it does.  Also, I noticed the music is the intro to a song from my new favorite the Weepies.  I'm including it here for your download.  Please vote for change.  Please vote for Barak Obama.

Boozhy Headlines: Obama the Healer

Forbes magazine posted a column this morning that lays out exactly why American's should choose Obama's plan for improving both the health--American's are the unhealthiest citizenry of any North Atlantic country--and the health care system--American's also pay two times as much for health care as any North Atlantic country.  It's worth the five minute read and even if you are voting for Obama (and I trust that you are), it is important to be informed so that we can hold him to his promises when (cross fingers) he enters the Oval Office.  From the conclusion of the article authored by associates at the National Bureau of Economic Research:

It is clear to us that Barack Obama's health care reform plan is much better for the country, and much more likely to be successful, than John McCain's.

Boozhy Headlines: Obama Camp Wins, But Needs a Math Lesson

Abc_barack_clinton_070425_msAfter the Potoma Primary sweep, Obama's campaign argues that it is "next to impossible" for the Clinton campaign to catch them.  According to the latest MSNBC stats, Obama leads Hillary's camp by 109 delegates.  With 1618 delegates still unpledged, it seems that the tiny margin of 109 delegates (even fewer if you factor in pledged Super Delegates) held by Obama indicates that Hillary's camp has plenty of time to catch Obama.  I'll grant the Obama campaign that they have the momentum, but STILL it seems a bit too early to be counting your chickens.  I'm just sayin...

Boozhy Headlines: Obamicans and Obamamania

BarackobamabwIt's true.  Boozhy can create made up words, just like the Obama camp - Obamamania (pass it around).  Yes, Obama swept Virginia, DC and Maryland.  And yes, the Obama coalition has expanded to include Hillary's faithful, working class whites and women.  But, again, in our opinion the story here is not that Obama won, but the comparisons in Democratic and Republican voter turn out.  In each of the three primaries, more voters cast ballots for Barack Obama than all the Republican candidates COMBINED.  In fact 762,093 Republican voters cast ballots yesterday compared to the 1,144,549 who cast ballots JUST FOR OBAMA.  If you add all Democrat ballots cast you have 1,800,618.  Thats a more than 2:1 margin.

While MD and DC are certainly Democratic strongholds, VA is for all practical purposes a Republican state.  According to Election Projection, VA is the 24th most conservative State, voting 6% more Republican than the national average in past elections.  And Obama TROUNCED Republicans in Virginia.  Obama ALONE received 619,036 ballots combared to 479,229 ballots that served as the combined total of Huckabee, Paul, Romney and McCain.  What does this mean?  A LOT of independants and Obamicans (Republicans) are voting for Barack.  And as Obama moves toward locking up the Democratic nomination, this is very bad news for John McCain.

Boozhy Elections: Obama Inspirational, But Not Very Clever

Obama uses an awful pun a play on words to illustrate his ability to pull Republican voters in a general election.

“Sometimes they whisper to me when I’m shaking hands, they’ll say ‘Barack, I’m a Republican, but I support you,’” he said to applause. “We call them Obamicans. We’re going to get some Obamicans in this election.”

Get it!  Obamicans, like Republicans but you put Obama in place of Republ!!!  So not HAHAHAHAHA.  Boozhy says, just stick with the inspiration Obama and steer clear of the not so clever humor.

hiBoozhy Headlines: Obama is Too 'Hood for Hillary's Own Good

Hillary is dismissing Obama's victory in Louisiana, saying he won 'cause he was black.

"Everybody knew, you all knew, what the likely outcome of these recent contests were...in the case of Louisiana, you know, a very strong and very proud African-American electorate, which I totally respect and understand."

Hillary recognizes that Obama is more 'hood than she and that's why he won "blacky state" Louisiana.  It had nothing to do with the white vote he pulled, or the fact that he is a very viable candidate to both blacks AND whites.  As for all the other "whitey" States Obama has trounced her in (including Nebraska, Idaho and North Dakota) Hillary has responded by saying they don't count.  And then she said that the States in which she was victorious count extra.  Umm...  Right.

"It is highly unlikely we will win Alaska or North Dakota or Idaho or Nebraska," she said, naming several of Obama's red state wins. "But we have to win Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Florida, Michigan … And we've got to be competitive in places like Texas, Missouri and Oklahoma."

Boozhy Headlines: Obama's Super Sunday

ObamaAfter sweeping Washington, Louisiana and Nebraska on Saturday, Obama had a super Sunday, beating not one but TWO Clintons in one day.  Obama beat Hillary in Maine and then proceeded to beat Bill for a spoken word Grammy.  Gold all around.
